Feeling down? Need a little music to provide a helping hand? This blog aims to become a signpost to new music. New albums for you and me. Not new in the sense that they were just released (although that might be the case) but new because you have never heard of it before. If you have, I apologize. I will never post albums from the same genre twice in a row, variety is the spice of life people! So sit back, relax, and enjoy wonderful music made by artists that deserve our attention.

Shakey Graves "Roll the Bones"
"Roll the Bones" is an album by Shakey Graves, released in 2011. I stumbled upon a YouTube video of one of his performances and was impressed with his singing ability and fingerpicking skills. This folk album is successful because of its simplicity. The instrumentation consists mostly of guitar, vocals, and other accompanying instruments here and there such as harmonica which makes the album feel very personal. The album itself also sounds a little lo-fi which would say adds to its overall tone. My favorite songs on the album are "Roll the Bones" and "Im on Fire". The album is available on here on Bandcamp with an option to name your price and I suggest you download this album now and support the artist if you like!
